Arena Advertising Opportunities
Promote Your Business at the South River Machar Arena

The South River Machar Arena welcomes thousands of visitors each year, including hockey players, families, spectators, tournament participants, figure skaters, public skaters, and community event attendees from across the Almaguin Highlands and beyond.
Arena advertising is an affordable and effective way to showcase your business, strengthen your local presence, and support an important community facility.
Available Advertising Opportunities
Note: Red outlined areas indicate available advertising locations. Actual placement is subject to availability.
Wall Advertising Board
Size: 4 ft × 8 ft
Wall advertising boards are mounted above the spectator seating, providing excellent visibility throughout the arena.
Availability: Limited
Annual Rate: $130 + HST
Includes:
- Professional installation by Arena staff
- One-year advertising term
- Premium visibility throughout the arena
Rink Board Advertisement
Size: 3 ft × 8 ft
Rink board advertisements are installed around the ice surface where they are highly visible during games, practices, tournaments, skating programs, and community events.
Annual Rate: $130 + HST
Includes:
- Professional installation by Arena staff
- One-year advertising term
- High-visibility placement around the rink
Advertising Term: July 1 – June 30
The annual advertising term runs from July 1 to June 30. Businesses and organizations may begin advertising at any time during the term, subject to space availability.
Please note: The annual advertising rate of $130 + HST applies to the current advertising term, regardless of the installation date. For example, an advertisement installed in September or January will still expire on June 30.
Annual Renewal
To continue advertising for the following year, the Village Office will issue a renewal invoice prior to June 30 each year. Payment of the renewal invoice will secure the advertising space for the next July 1 to June 30 advertising term.
Sign Requirements
Businesses are responsible for providing a finished, ready-to-install advertising sign.
Signs should:
- Be printed and ready for installation
- Be constructed using durable materials suitable for indoor arena use
- Match the required dimensions for the selected advertising location
Installation is provided by Arena staff at no additional cost.

Reserve Your Advertising Space
Advertising space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Wall advertising boards are limited and subject to availability.
Submit an Advertising Request
Interested businesses and organizations can complete our Arena Advertising Request Form to request a space and provide their contact information.
No payment is required to submit the form. However, early payment is encouraged, as advertising space is limited and availability is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
The form will allow you to select your preferred payment option:
- Pay Now by E-transfer
- Pay Later- By Cheque / In Person
If paying by e-transfer, payment can be sent to accounts@southriver.ca. Please upload a screenshot or copy of the payment confirmation through the form.
If paying by cheque or in person, please visit the Village Office during regular office hours.
